Tl dr: If reconnecting your glasses after plugging in power does not fix it, I'm afraid something might be broken. I can't fully test on my phone right now, but dis-/reconnecting the glasses usually fixes any issues. The last image freezes with some "bad pixels", until you reconnect. I think that is what the glasses usually do, when they are still powered but no device is connected. Un-/replugging the glasses at the adapter fixed it. One time, when connecting the charger, the glasses suddenly showed a one pixel high horizontal line of random colors and the image froze. I retried this a few times, with nearly the same result. Reconnected the charger and the glasses stayed on and worked. Disconnected the charger and the glasses turned off for a second, then turned back on and worked. On the Steamdeck i connected everything (charger last) and it worked. 30W through dock, battery charging faster 40W through dock, overlay reads nearly the same (you'll have to take my word for it). Without it, the \"Redmagic\" labeled part would sit flush with the case It does get noticeable warm after 30 minutes at 30W, so i don't think i would be comfortable with charging a 100W Laptop through it.Įdit: Added a few (and fixed) images, corrected max power delivery.Ĭloseup of the connector and dock. I have no other usb pd devices, so i can't try the dock at higher voltage/power levels. Un-/replugged glasses from dock, launched Nebula and MR Space worked. Un-/replugged dock from phone and nebula did not recognize glasses any more. Plugged Airs into dock, Nebula launches, but MR Space button does not work. Plugged dock into phone and then power into dock. I had to reconnect it a few times to get nebula/AR to work (so the rumors are true), but i assume that has to do with the order in which everything is connected. It increases the risk of getting caught on something and pulling the cable, but that's what the magnetic plug is for anyways. Luckily my magnetic type-c adapter adds some clearance. The only downside is the huge type-c connector, blocking everything from the Deck power button to the first slot of the fan exhaust. After disappointing results with the CV-10 cable this is awesome. It will deliver 15V / 30W 40W (deck shows battery charging 7.4W while running cyberpunk) and connect video and audio to the glasses. My Redmagic Game Dock just arrived and it works perfectly with nreal Air and the SteamDeck.
